Thomas Moser

Thomas Moser is an Alternate Member of the Governing Board of the Swiss National Bank (Central Bank of Switzerland). He is also a member of the Managing Committee of the Swiss Institute of Banking and Finance, University of St. Gallen, Switzerland, and a member of the Executive Committee of the KOF Swiss Economic Institute at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) Zurich, Switzerland.

From 2006 to 2010 Thomas Moser was Executive Director at the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in Washington, D.C., USA. He has a doctorate in economics from the University of Zurich, Switzerland.

Cătălin Sorin Ivan

MEP for the last 9 years, with 15 years of political experience. Blockchain advocate with a Master’s in International Business. Cătălin is one of the youngest members to ever grace the halls of Brussels and he aims to spearhead blockchain and deregulation efforts in the heart of the EU. 

Before getting into politics, he studied and earned a Masters degree in International Business - a solid background for blockchain and deregulation advocacy. He has been a member of 14 Special committees and has held two vice-chair positions during his time as MEP: the vice-chair of the delegation for relations with the countries of the Andean Community (2011-2014), and the vice-chair of the committee on Budgetary Control (2017).

Marta Piekarska

Marta serves as the Director of Ecosystem at Hyperledger. Marta obtained her BSc in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Warsaw University of Technology and a double Master from Computer Science and Informatics at Technical University of Berlin and Warsaw University of Technology.

Marta received PhD in User-Informed Design of Privacy Tools while working at one of the hottest startups in Silicon Valley - Blockstream. Marta also taught at Technical University of Berlin as a Post-doc. As part of her role in Hyperledger Marta evangelizes the technology and Open Source at conferences around the world and helps enterprises with applying permissioned Blockchains to their use-cases. Marta is passionate about how Blockchain can help in non traditional spaces, such as identity, last mile aid and education delivery and sustainability.

Michael Kumhof

Michael Kumhof is a German researcher and economist. He is Senior Research Advisor at the Bank of England, where he co-leads and helps to formulate its research agenda. In his previous work at the IMF, he was responsible for developing the IMF’s Global Integrated Monetary and Fiscal Model (a Dynamic stochastic general equilibrium model). The model is used for IMF policy and scenario analyses in multilateral and bilateral surveillance, for the World Economic Outlook and for G20 work.

He taught economics at Stanford University from 1998 to 2004 and worked in corporate banking for Barclays Bank from 1988 to 1993.

Dr. Kumhof is co-author of the paper "Macroeconomics of central bank issued digital currencies", where he discusses the consequences of issuing central bank digital currency (CBDC). The paper is based on a complex economic model in which anyone can hold money at the central bank, fully risk-free, as an alternative to bank deposits (money created by banks).

Stephanie Ramezan

Co-Founder of Quince Capital and Partner at Digital Asset Group, Stephanie is working to revolutionise the market by marrying-up traditional financial services with the digital world.  Digital Asset Group is working to become the world’s first fully-regulated B2B Blockchain bank and will include a variety of services including but not limited to crypto fund of funds, wealth management, crypto stock-exchange and a direct market investment platform.  

Stephanie started her career in the City of London and has spent the past 14 years across a variety of front-office Sales/Trading/Corporate Finance roles. 

Wilfried Pimenta

Wilfried Pimenta heads Global Business Development at the IOTA Foundation. He engages with corporations and institutions to explore the potential of the IOTA Tangle, an opensource Distributed Ledger Technology beyond Blockchain. Designed from scratch for the Internet of Things, the protocol aims at becoming the backbone for the Machine to Machine economy.

With IOTA, connected devices and sensors will communicate peer to peer securely and trade real time without any transaction fees. With a corporate ecosystem including multinationals such as Bosch, Volkswagen, Fujitsu, IOTA also acts as co-creation hub and enables radical business model innovation across all smart industries including mobility, energy, smart buildings, industry 4.0, smart cities, smart supply chain, eHealth and more.

Wilfried is based in Oslo, Norway and holds a MBA from INSEAD.

Dr. Stefan Junestrand

Stefan Junestrand holds a Ph.D. in Architecture and is considered a leading international expert and speaker in areas related to Smart Cities, Intelligent Buildings, Sustainability and Blockchain, and a member of the EU Blockchain Observatory & Forum. 

Junestrand is the CEO and Co-Founder of Grupo Tecma Red, Spain’s leading Media Company in the areas of Sustainability, Energy and New Technologies for Buildings and Cities. He has written several books and published more than a dozen scientific papers, and is also a founding member of the research group Blockchain4Cities.net.

Marius Jurgilas

Prior to joining the Bank of Lithuania, Marius Jurgilas worked as Economist at Norges Bank and the Bank of England, Researcher at the European Central Bank, and gained academic experience in the US.

As Member of the Board of the Bank of Lithuania, he is in charge of payment services and their development, FinTech, research and cash, as well as units performing related functions. To address related issues, he participates in meetings of the ECB Governing Council and committees, scientific conferences, as well as represents the central bank of the Republic of Lithuania at various international economic fora and organisations.

Victoria Gago
Victoria Gago is the Co-Founder of the European Blockchain Convention and Associate at AddVANTE M&A where she advises tech, retail and industrial companies. Prior to that she worked as an Investment Analyst at Black Toro Capital.

She is a blockchain guest speaker at Millionaire’s Club (Millionærklubben), Denmark’s leading financial radio show. 
 

In 2016 Victoria founded Accelerate Network, an association for young female professionals, whose objective is to inspire young women to reach their full potential, empower upcoming talents and future female leaders.

Victoria has roots in Northern, Southern and Eastern Europe and a global mindset, having lived in Malaysia, Australia, United Kingdom, Spain, Luxembourg and Denmark.

Eneko Knörr

Eneko Knorr is the founder of Pheidon.capital, a cryptocurrency fund and lab. He previously started Ludei (San Francisco) and the Spanish top 5 hosting company Hostalia (sold to Telefonica).

Angel investor in companies such as Ticketbis (sold to eBay), Habitissimo (sold to Homeserve), Petcoach (sold to Petco), Chicisimo, Housers and Cabify, among others. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of the Basque Country, and an AMP in Business Administration & Management from IE Business School (Madrid). Public speaker at conferences around the world such as New York Summit (NYC, USA9, 4YFN-Mobile World Congress (Shangai, China and Barcelona, Spain), Venture Days Barranquilla (Colombia), South Summit (Madrid), etc.

Cristina Carrascosa

Cristina is a lawyer specialized in taxation and tax law. After starting in international firms such as Cuatrecasas or Broseta, for the past six years she has developed her career working with decentralized business models based on blockchain technology, as well as advising large estates with investments in cryptoactives. 

Associate professor at IE business school, in Blockchain, Academic Director of the Blockchain Program at IE Law School, and co-author of the book Blockchain: the industrial revolution of the Internet, has been invited by public administrations such as the Ministry of Interior to discuss the use of this technology in the cyber security environment. She’s the only Spanish woman appointed as permanent member of the Working Group “Blockchain Observatory Forum”, set up by the European Commission for regulatory purposes.

Guenther Dobrauz-Saldapenna

Considered to be one of the leading European Banking, Investment and Blockchain/Crypto Law specialists, Guenther is also passionate about innovation, entrepreneurship, rock music, custom bratstyle motorcycles, obstacle course racing and vinyl records.

Guenther is a Partner at PwC Zurich and Leader of PwC Legal Switzerland as well as a Member of PwC’s Global Legal Leadership Team. Prior to this he was a successful Venture Capitalist, served as in-house counsel at an international hedge fund and practised in court and with a leading business law firm. Guenther holds a PhD in law from Johannes Kepler University (Austria), an MBA from the University of Strathclyde (Scotland) and has completed an Executive Education Program at Harvard Business School. He is the author of 10 books mostly on investment law and regulation. 

James Muscat Azzopardi

James is a lawyer by profession and is a Partner at Muscat Azzopardi & Associates, one of Malta’s leading commercial law firms, as well as a founding shareholder and a Director on the Credence group of advisory and corporate services companies.

James advises a wide portfolio of multinational corporations, international law firms, banks, asset management companies and high net worth individuals. He is currently advising on ICOs, cryptocurrency exchanges and related issues, particularly in relation to Malta and Maltese structures. James is the First Vice President of the Maltese-Spanish Chamber of Commerce and speaks five languages including fluent Spanish and Italian.

Olga Feldmeier

Olga Feldmeier is CEO of SMART VALOR, a Swiss-based blockchain start-up building a decentralized marketplace for tokenized alternative investments. Olga has extensive experience working in the banking and financial services sector for global brands such as Barclays Capital, UBS Wealth Management and Boston Consulting Group, where she focused on strategy projects at financial institutions such as Deutsche Bank, Unicredit and Commerzbank. Prior to founding SMART VALOR, Olga held the position of Commercial Managing Partner at prominent Silicon Valley Bitcoin startup Xapo.

Olga is a prominent founding member of the Crypto Valley community, and is the producer of series of blockchain conference in Switzerland (ICO Summit and Crypto Summit) the first global conference in Switzerland focusing on blockchain. She is also a mentor at the largest European accelerator program, Kickstart Accelerator, and regularly delivers talks at conferences and universities on Bitcoin, the regulation in blockchain industry, the tokenization of assets and the disruption of the banking industry.

Karl Schranz

Karl Schranz co-founded E&S Group in 2010, offering a wide range of financial and legal consultancy services particularly to ICOs. He has over 15 years of experience in the financial and audit sector.

His expertise includes financial engineering, ICO strategy, Tokenomics and Crypto Assets. As one of the directors and founders of E&S Group, he has been involved in structuring, advising and assisting more than 40+ICOs projects to date.

Karl co-founded ESTS Initiative in 2018, leading to the tokenisation of E&S Group’s services, becoming the first corporate and legal firm to do so.

Victor Escudero Rubio

Victor Escudero is Global Head of Integration of Cybersecurity Solutions at S21sec and co-author of the book "Blockchain: the Industrial Revolution of the Internet" 

Escudero is passionate about Free Software. He  has lived and breathed Bitcoin since its inception and since then he actively shares his knowledge about protocols based on Blockchain. He frequently publishes content in the media and through his Blog https://www.vescudero.net. Escudero was organizer of the first Bitcoin Party in Spain. 

Esther Katz

Esther Katz is an early adopter and evangelist of blockchain technology. For over 20 years, Katz worked in integrated marketing with an emphasis on investor relations, fin-tech and biotech companies; an experience that honed her ability to predict upcoming, disruptive technologies and start-ups and then share her insights with investors looking for the “Next Big Thing” in tech investment.  Not since the early days of the internet has Katz seen as much excitement and opportunity as there is today with start-ups building their disruptive businesses on the blockchain.

Katz is the former head of Jacob Peres Office, a leading PR agency in Israel. Katz currently lives and works in Israel, managing the team of marketing and PR experts in Europe, Asia and United States for the multinational blockchain projects Neuromation.io and OSA DC. 

Virginia Cram Martos

Ms. Virginia S. CRAM-MARTOS is the CEO of Triangularity SàRL which supports economic development through Innovation, eCommerce and Trade.

She is also Project Leader for the Blockchain Whitepaper Project of the United Nations Centre for Trade Facilitation and Electronic Business (UN/CEFACT); the liaison expert from UN/CEFACT to ISO/TC 307 (Blockchain and distributed ledger technologies); and is an expert member of the International Telecommunication Unions Focus Group on Distributed Ledger Technologies (FGDLT).

Prior to moving to Triangularity she worked for 25 years for the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe in Geneva, Switzerland. For the last 11 years of her UN career she was responsible, as a Director, for: trade facilitation, global UN electronic business standards, regulatory cooperation, national innovation frameworks and public-private partnerships.

She holds an MBA degree in International Business from the University of Chicago and a Masters in Finance from the Université Catholique de Louvain in Belgium.
