Prior to ConsenSys, Lory was a Director with Deloitte where he founded, set up and led Deloitte’s Europe Middle East and Africa blockchain Lab. Prior to Deloitte, Lory worked as a management consultant with Accenture. He has over 11 years of consulting experience.
Lory has led blockchain corporate and governmental strategy projects, delivered a number of blockchain PoCs and pilots and implemented a blockchain enabled solution in a production environment.Lory is a Qualified Financial Advisor, registered stockbroker and is currently (and has been for the past 12+ years) an adjunct assistant professor in Strategic Management and Information Systems Strategy with the Department of Computer Science & Statistics in Trinity College Dublin.
Cătălin Sorin Ivan
MEP for the last 9 years, with 15 years of political experience. Blockchain advocate with a Master’s in International Business. Cătălin is one of the youngest members to ever grace the halls of Brussels and he aims to spearhead blockchain and deregulation efforts in the heart of the EU.
Before getting into politics, he studied and earned a Masters degree in International Business - a solid background for blockchain and deregulation advocacy. He has been a member of 14 Special committees and has held two vice-chair positions during his time as MEP: the vice-chair of the delegation for relations with the countries of the Andean Community (2011-2014), and the vice-chair of the committee on Budgetary Control (2017).
Marta serves as the Director of Ecosystem at Hyperledger. Marta obtained her BSc in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Warsaw University of Technology and a double Master from Computer Science and Informatics at Technical University of Berlin and Warsaw University of Technology.
Marta received PhD in User-Informed Design of Privacy Tools while working at one of the hottest startups in Silicon Valley - Blockstream. Marta also taught at Technical University of Berlin as a Post-doc. As part of her role in Hyperledger Marta evangelizes the technology and Open Source at conferences around the world and helps enterprises with applying permissioned Blockchains to their use-cases. Marta is passionate about how Blockchain can help in non traditional spaces, such as identity, last mile aid and education delivery and sustainability.
Olga Feldmeier is CEO of SMART VALOR, a Swiss-based blockchain start-up building a decentralized marketplace for tokenized alternative investments. Olga has extensive experience working in the banking and financial services sector for global brands such as Barclays Capital, UBS Wealth Management and Boston Consulting Group, where she focused on strategy projects at financial institutions such as Deutsche Bank, Unicredit and Commerzbank. Prior to founding SMART VALOR, Olga held the position of Commercial Managing Partner at prominent Silicon Valley Bitcoin startup Xapo.
Olga is a prominent founding member of the Crypto Valley community, and is the producer of series of blockchain conference in Switzerland (ICO Summit and Crypto Summit) the first global conference in Switzerland focusing on blockchain. Wilfried Pimenta heads Global Business Development at the IOTA Foundation. He engages with corporations and institutions to explore the potential of the IOTA Tangle, an opensource Distributed Ledger Technology beyond Blockchain. Designed from scratch for the Internet of Things, the protocol aims at becoming the backbone for the Machine to Machine economy.
With IOTA, connected devices and sensors will communicate peer to peer securely and trade real time without any transaction fees. Thomas Moser is an Alternate Member of the Governing Board of the Swiss National Bank (Central Bank of Switzerland). Sergio Gorjón Rivas
Sergio Gorjón serves as manager in the newly created Financial Innovations Division at Banco de España. His team is in charge of monitoring and analysing the nature and potential implications of emerging financial service providers. Their tasks further include assessing the regulatory challenges deriving from the digital transformation of the financial industry and advising on future legal reforms.
Prior to moving to this area, Mr. Gorjón spent 20 years at the Payment Systems Department where the headed the Policy and Oversight Division and dealt with many topics around innovation such as blockchain, cryptoassets, instant payments, artificial intelligence, etc. Mr Gorjón also worked for the World Bank as a Financial Sector Specialist and remains an external consultant to this institution.
Considered to be one of the leading European Banking, Investment and Blockchain/Crypto Law specialists, Guenther is also passionate about innovation, entrepreneurship, rock music, custom bratstyle motorcycles, obstacle course racing and vinyl records.
Guenther is a Partner at PwC Zurich and Leader of PwC Legal Switzerland as well as a Member of PwC’s Global Legal Leadership Team. Prior to this he was a successful Venture Capitalist, served as in-house counsel at an international hedge fund and practised in court and with a leading business law firm. Prior to joining the Bank of Lithuania, Marius Jurgilas worked as Economist at Norges Bank and the Bank of England, Researcher at the European Central Bank, and gained academic experience in the US.
As Member of the Board of the Bank of Lithuania, he is in charge of payment services and their development, FinTech, research and cash, as well as units performing related functions. To address related issues, he participates in meetings of the ECB Governing Council and committees, scientific conferences, as well as represents the central bank of the Republic of Lithuania at various international economic fora and organisations.
Victoria Gago is the Co-Founder of the European Blockchain Convention and Associate at AddVANTE M&A where she advises tech, retail and industrial companies. Prior to that she worked as an Investment Analyst at Black Toro Capital.

Virginia Cram Martos
Ms. Virginia S. CRAM-MARTOS is the CEO of Triangularity SàRL which supports economic development through Innovation, eCommerce and Trade.
She is also Project Leader for the Blockchain Whitepaper Project of the United Nations Centre for Trade Facilitation and Electronic Business (UN/CEFACT); the liaison expert from UN/CEFACT to ISO/TC 307 (Blockchain and distributed ledger technologies); and is an expert member of the International Telecommunication Unions Focus Group on Distributed Ledger Technologies (FGDLT).
Prior to moving to Triangularity she worked for 25 years for the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe in Geneva, Switzerland. For the last 11 years of her UN career she was responsible, as a Director, for: trade facilitation, global UN electronic business standards, regulatory cooperation, national innovation frameworks and public-private partnerships.
She holds an MBA degree in International Business from the University of Chicago and a Masters in Finance from the Université Catholique de Louvain in Belgium.
Michael Kumhof is a German researcher and economist. He is Senior Research Advisor at the Bank of England, where he co-leads and helps to formulate its research agenda. In his previous work at the IMF, he was responsible for developing the IMF’s Global Integrated Monetary and Fiscal Model (a Dynamic stochastic general equilibrium model). The model is used for IMF policy and scenario analyses in multilateral and bilateral surveillance, for the World Economic Outlook and for G20 work.
He taught economics at Stanford University from 1998 to 2004 and worked in corporate banking for Barclays Bank from 1988 to 1993.
Dr. Kumhof is co-author of the paper "Macroeconomics of central bank issued digital currencies", where he discusses the consequences of issuing central bank digital currency (CBDC). The paper is based on a complex economic model in which anyone can hold money at the central bank, fully risk-free, as an alternative to bank deposits (money created by banks).
Dr. Stefan Junestrand
Stefan Junestrand holds a Ph.D. in Architecture and is considered a leading international expert and speaker in areas related to Smart Cities, Intelligent Buildings, Sustainability and Blockchain, and a member of the EU Blockchain Observatory & Forum.
Junestrand is the CEO and Co-Founder of Grupo Tecma Red, Spain’s leading Media Company in the areas of Sustainability, Energy and New Technologies for Buildings and Cities. He has written several books and published more than a dozen scientific papers, and is also a founding member of the research group Blockchain4Cities.net.
Joey Garcia is the financial services and fintech partner at ISOLAS LLP, Gibraltar’s longest established law firm (1892). He has co-chaired the Gibraltar Government working group on distributed ledger technology and blockchain technology for a number of years and is ranked by Chamber and Partners as one of the top 12 lawyers in the world in the space, as well as by the Legal 500 as an accomplished financial services expert. With the working group Joey has worked alongside the Gibraltar Financial Services Commission in the introduction of a new regulatory framework to cover operators in Blockchain and distributed ledger technology space which came into effect in January.
He acts for a number of very well-known groups including Xapo, Gnosis, RSK, Coinfloor, GBX and Huobi and is also a member of the global Wharton RegTech think tank bringing together practitioners and regulators from around the world. Joey is also RSK’s ambassador for Gibraltar, contributes to the US Chamber of Digital Commerce as part of the groups lawyers committee, and also contributed to first publication covering Global Legal Insights on Blockchain and Cryptocurrency Regulation. He is a regular speaker and contributor to initiatives around the world in the space.

SHAWNNA M. HOFFMAN-CHILDRESS
Ms. Hoffman serves as the Global Co-Leader of the IBM Cognitive Legal Practice and is a member of the IBM Global Center of Competency. She was certified as an IBM Thought Leader in 2015 and has two patents pending for Detecting Clusters and Relationships in Large Data Sets (END920160377US1) and Method and System for Pattern Based Home Network Configuration (END820160894). She also co-authored the book "eDiscovery Plain & Simple" (ISBN-13:97814394079), is the Co-Founder of Women in eDiscovery (Founded in 2007) and the Co-Founder of Diversity in Blockchain (Founded in 2017). In 2017, Ms. Hoffman-Childress became an Advisory Board Member for Integra Ledger and became a pioneering member of the Global Legal Blockchain Consortium and the MIT Legal Forum for AI & Blockchain. Recently, she spoke at the United Nations at the Blockchain for Impact Summit and GlobalMinded on the subject “Blockchain, Financial Fuel for Sustainable Development”. In September 2018, she was appointed to the U.S. Commodity Future Trading Commission's Distributed Ledger Technology and Market Infrastructure Subcommittee for the 2018 - 2019 term.
As her give back to her local community, Ms. Hoffman-Childress co-founded and serves on the Board of Directors of the Community Hope Center of Osceola County which has helped over 27,000 homeless families since its inception. The Community Hope Center has received multiple awards and most recently was presented with the Bob Allen Award from the Walt Disney Company and the Good Neighbor Award from Bank of America for the fight against homelessness. The Community Hope Center was an inspiration and was featured in the Oscar Winning Movie, The Florida Project.

Cristina is a lawyer specialized in taxation and tax law. After starting in international firms such as Cuatrecasas or Broseta, for the past six years she has developed her career working with decentralized business models based on blockchain technology, as well as advising large estates with investments in cryptoactives.
Associate professor at IE business school, in Blockchain, Academic Director of the Blockchain Program at IE Law School, and co-author of the book Blockchain: the industrial revolution of the Internet, has been invited by public administrations such as the Ministry of Interior to discuss the use of this technology in the cyber security environment. Jose Parra Moyano
He is researching as a PhD Student in the field of Blockchain Mechanism Design at the University of Zurich. During his PhD he has published several academic papers on the topic of Blockchain in peer-reviewed journals.
In 2016 he won the Nordic Blockchain Summit Prize for his project on “Improving Banking KYC thanks to Blockchain Technology”. He is the Head of the newly-created Blockchain Research Lab of the Chair of Quantitative Business Administration of the University of Zurich. Further, he has been appointed as one of Forbes 30 UNDER 30 and is member of the Global Shapers Community of the World Economic Forum.
Karl Schranz co-founded E&S Group in 2010, offering a wide range of financial and legal consultancy services particularly to ICOs. He has over 15 years of experience in the financial and audit sector.
