The Deal Floor

What we mean by the Deal Floor

When we say Deal Floor, we are describing the event environment EBC is built to create: a structure designed to make meetings easier to arrange, conversations more relevant, and time on site more commercially useful.

It is not one feature. It is the combination of formats, spaces, introductions, and settings that help the right people meet in the right way across the full event.

From pre-booked meetings and curated introductions to roundtables, private dinners, and more focused side-room formats, each element plays a role in making the room stronger.

What we mean by the Deal Floor

The Deal Floor is the umbrella for how EBC is designed to work

Not every important conversation happens in the same format. Some should be scheduled in advance. Some need a warm introduction. Some work better around a small table. Some need a more private setting. Some begin before the main programme starts and continue well after the stage content ends.

“Deal Floor” gives us a clear way to explain that structure. It signals that EBC is intentionally designed to help people meet, evaluate opportunities, reconnect, explain solutions, and move conversations forward.

In other words, the term reflects how the event is built, not just how it is marketed.

What the Deal Floor does

  • Better meetings: different formats create better conditions for different kinds of conversations.
  • More relevant introductions: the room is designed to make it easier to meet people you actually want to meet.
  • More useful time on site: a stronger event structure helps attendees and sponsors get more out of each day.
  • More room for substance: some conversations need privacy, some need focus, and some need momentum. The Deal Floor is built to support all three.
  • A stronger overall experience: the result is an event environment designed around relevance, access, and better interaction.
How to think about it

The Deal Floor is not one zone. It is a system of meeting formats.

The floor itself matters, but so do the introductions, smaller-room formats, premium gatherings, and private settings around it. Together, these formats help create a room where better conversations happen more naturally.

More than networking

Meetings are easier to schedule, navigate, and follow through when the environment is built for them.

More than visibility

Sponsors need formats that help them explain substance, not just appear on the floor.

More than one moment

The strongest conversations often start in one format and continue in another. The Deal Floor makes that possible.

Inside the Deal Floor

The formats behind the Deal Floor

Each part of the Deal Floor supports a different kind of conversation, from pre-booked meetings and curated introductions to smaller-group discussion and private space.

1:1 Deal Floor

Pre-booked meetings, built into the floor

Attendees can book meetings in advance through the event app, then meet across 100 dedicated tables at the centre of EBC. The setup is designed to keep conversations moving and make scheduled meetings easy to manage across both days.

Executive Meetings

We help the right people meet

Beyond app-based networking, EBC facilitates high-value introductions between sponsors and selected target accounts. The goal is simple: more relevant conversations with the people that matter most.

Roundtables
Roundtables

Small-group discussions with the right people in the room

Hosted Roundtables bring together a limited group of attendees around a specific market topic, challenge, or opportunity. Attendees join in advance, making each session more focused and commercially relevant.

Institutional Buy Side Programme
Institutional Buy Side Programme

A stronger room starts with who is in it

EBC’s Institutional Access Programme is designed to bring qualified decision-makers from across banks, fintechs, brokers, funds, allocators, and other active market participants into the room.

Breakout Sessions
Breakout Sessions

More than visibility. A setting to explain substance

Solution Briefings give sponsors a dedicated space to present a product, platform, or market solution to a relevant audience in a more focused environment than the main stage or exhibition floor.

VIP Opening Night
VIP Opening Night

The first key conversations start before the floor opens

VIP Opening Night brings together speakers, sponsors, and senior decision-makers ahead of the main event for an invitation-only opening gathering designed to start the week’s most important conversations early.

The Opening Bell
The Opening Bell

Day 1 does not end when the programme does

The Opening Bell is EBC’s Day 1 evening gathering, built to keep conversations moving beyond the floor in a more relaxed but still highly relevant setting.

Curated Dinners
Curated Dinners

Private dinners. Better conversations.

EBC hosts private dinners in selected Barcelona restaurants, connecting sponsors and attendees in a smaller setting designed for deeper discussion and more meaningful interaction.

Institutional Breakfast
Institutional Breakfast

A smaller room for more focused discussion

Institutional Breakfast brings together a select group of senior participants in a more concentrated morning setting, designed for thoughtful conversation and stronger introductions.

Deal Rooms
Deal Rooms

Private space for higher-stakes conversations

For companies that need more privacy, Deal Rooms provide a dedicated setting for confidential meetings, negotiations, demos, and longer-form discussions away from the main floor.

The Deal Floor

One umbrella concept. Multiple ways for the right conversations to happen.

The Deal Floor brings together the formats, spaces, and moments that make EBC more commercially useful: pre-booked meetings, curated introductions, focused group discussions, premium networking, and private settings for more serious conversations.
