Alain Otaegui is a Policy Expert at the Digital Finance unit at the EBA, where he is working on a range of files relating to financial innovation, including crypto-assets, DeFi & AI. Alain is working on various EBA policy mandates under MiCA, is coordinating the EBA’s assessment and stance on the implications of the AI Act for the banking sector, coordinates the EBA’s position on DeFi, and is coordinating the EBA’s Chaipersonship of the European Forum for Innovation Facilitators (EFIF).
