Carsten embarked on his professional journey in the digital asset industry at Standard Chartered in 2019. He played played an integral role in building a designated dealer market making infrastructure for a USD Stablecoin. This experience served as a stepping stone for his involvement in several initiatives within the Standard Chartered group.
One of his notable contributions was leading the implementation of the bank’s inaugural digital asset custodian, strengthening the presence in the digital asset space. Additionally, he facilitated Standard Chartered’s strategic investment in SWIAT, a FinTech company specializing in blockchain software for the global financial market.
Alongside his work at Standard Chartered, he serves as an expert at the European Carbon Offset Tokenization Association (ECOTA). This think tank focuses on exploring token-based solutions to overcome challenges in technological-enabled decarbonization.
