Prior to ConsenSys, Lory was a Director with Deloitte where he founded, set up and led Deloitte’s Europe Middle East and Africa blockchain Lab. Prior to Deloitte, Lory worked as a management consultant with Accenture. He has over 11 years of consulting experience.

Cătălin Sorin Ivan
MEP for the last 9 years, with 15 years of political experience. Blockchain advocate with a Master’s in International Business. Cătălin is one of the youngest members to ever grace the halls of Brussels and he aims to spearhead blockchain and deregulation efforts in the heart of the EU.
Before getting into politics, he studied and earned a Masters degree in International Business - a solid background for blockchain and deregulation advocacy. He has been a member of 14 Special committees and has held two vice-chair positions during his time as MEP: the vice-chair of the delegation for relations with the countries of the Andean Community (2011-2014), and the vice-chair of the committee on Budgetary Control (2017).

Marta also taught at Technical University of Berlin as a Post-doc. Renato de Castro
Renato de Castro is a Smart City Expert. He is the ambassador of Smart Cities at the TM Forum from London, a member of the board directors at the NGO Leading Cities from Boston, and Volunteer Senior Adviser at International Telecommunications Union (ITU), the United Nations information and telecommunications agency.
He has accumulated over two decades of experience as a global executive within Asia, the Americas and Europe. He is fluent in 4 languages, and is a PhD candidate in Global Law at Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB). Renato has visited more than 30 countries, lecturing about smart cities and advising governments on urban projects. Currently, he is based in Barcelona where he serves as CEO in a disruptive spinoff related to Smart Cities.

Thomas Moser is an Alternate Member of the Governing Board of the Swiss National Bank (Central Bank of Switzerland). Sergio Gorjón Rivas
Sergio Gorjón serves as manager in the newly created Financial Innovations Division at Banco de España. His team is in charge of monitoring and analysing the nature and potential implications of emerging financial service providers. Their tasks further include assessing the regulatory challenges deriving from the digital transformation of the financial industry and advising on future legal reforms.
Prior to moving to this area, Mr. Gorjón spent 20 years at the Payment Systems Department where the headed the Policy and Oversight Division and dealt with many topics around innovation such as blockchain, cryptoassets, instant payments, artificial intelligence, etc. Mr Gorjón also worked for the World Bank as a Financial Sector Specialist and remains an external consultant to this institution.
Joey Garcia is the financial services and fintech partner at ISOLAS LLP, Gibraltar’s longest established law firm (1892). He has co-chaired the Gibraltar Government working group on distributed ledger technology and blockchain technology for a number of years and is ranked by Chamber and Partners as one of the top 12 lawyers in the world in the space, as well as by the Legal 500 as an accomplished financial services expert. Virginia Cram Martos
Ms. Virginia S. CRAM-MARTOS is the CEO of Triangularity SàRL which supports economic development through Innovation, eCommerce and Trade.
She is also Project Leader for the Blockchain Whitepaper Project of the United Nations Centre for Trade Facilitation and Electronic Business (UN/CEFACT); the liaison expert from UN/CEFACT to ISO/TC 307 (Blockchain and distributed ledger technologies); and is an expert member of the International Telecommunication Unions Focus Group on Distributed Ledger Technologies (FGDLT).
Prior to moving to Triangularity she worked for 25 years for the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe in Geneva, Switzerland. For the last 11 years of her UN career she was responsible, as a Director, for: trade facilitation, global UN electronic business standards, regulatory cooperation, national innovation frameworks and public-private partnerships.
She holds an MBA degree in International Business from the University of Chicago and a Masters in Finance from the Université Catholique de Louvain in Belgium.
Michael Kumhof is a German researcher and economist. He is Senior Research Advisor at the Bank of England, where he co-leads and helps to formulate its research agenda. In his previous work at the IMF, he was responsible for developing the IMF’s Global Integrated Monetary and Fiscal Model (a Dynamic stochastic general equilibrium model). The model is used for IMF policy and scenario analyses in multilateral and bilateral surveillance, for the World Economic Outlook and for G20 work.
He taught economics at Stanford University from 1998 to 2004 and worked in corporate banking for Barclays Bank from 1988 to 1993.
Dr. Kumhof is co-author of the paper "Macroeconomics of central bank issued digital currencies", where he discusses the consequences of issuing central bank digital currency (CBDC). The paper is based on a complex economic model in which anyone can hold money at the central bank, fully risk-free, as an alternative to bank deposits (money created by banks).

Stefan Junestrand holds a Ph.D. in Architecture and is considered a leading international expert and speaker in areas related to Smart Cities, Intelligent Buildings, Sustainability and Blockchain, and a member of the EU Blockchain Observatory & Forum.
Junestrand is the CEO and Co-Founder of Grupo Tecma Red, Spain’s leading Media Company in the areas of Sustainability, Energy and New Technologies for Buildings and Cities. SHAWNNA M. HOFFMAN-CHILDRESS
Ms. Hoffman serves as the Global Co-Leader of the IBM Cognitive Legal Practice and is a member of the IBM Global Center of Competency. She was certified as an IBM Thought Leader in 2015 and has two patents pending for Detecting Clusters and Relationships in Large Data Sets (END920160377US1) and Method and System for Pattern Based Home Network Configuration (END820160894). She also co-authored the book "eDiscovery Plain & Simple" (ISBN-13:97814394079), is the Co-Founder of Women in eDiscovery (Founded in 2007) and the Co-Founder of Diversity in Blockchain (Founded in 2017). In 2017, Ms. Hoffman-Childress became an Advisory Board Member for Integra Ledger and became a pioneering member of the Global Legal Blockchain Consortium and the MIT Legal Forum for AI & Blockchain. Recently, she spoke at the United Nations at the Blockchain for Impact Summit and GlobalMinded on the subject “Blockchain, Financial Fuel for Sustainable Development”. In September 2018, she was appointed to the U.S. Commodity Future Trading Commission's Distributed Ledger Technology and Market Infrastructure Subcommittee for the 2018 - 2019 term.
As her give back to her local community, Ms. Hoffman-Childress co-founded and serves on the Board of Directors of the Community Hope Center of Osceola County which has helped over 27,000 homeless families since its inception. The Community Hope Center has received multiple awards and most recently was presented with the Bob Allen Award from the Walt Disney Company and the Good Neighbor Award from Bank of America for the fight against homelessness. He is researching as a PhD Student in the field of Blockchain Mechanism Design at the University of Zurich. During his PhD he has published several academic papers on the topic of Blockchain in peer-reviewed journals.

Flavio began practicing law in Rio de Janeiro in 1986 under the mentorship of his Commercial Law professor Kléber Pereira Ávila in the law firm of Ávila Pereira & Torres. The firm provided advice regarding trademark and intellectual property law to a broad array of international clients and was the springboard for the development of Flavio’s legal practice.
Upon relocating to Barcelona, Flavio earned a master’s degree in International Law from the University of Barcelona in 1993 specializing in software licensing in the European Union while working for the Spanish law firm of Ribas & Rodríguez and qualifying to practice as a Spanish lawyer.
In 1993, Flavio established the Barcelona office of Ávila Pereira & Torres under the name of Soares & Ávila, focusing on intellectual property and trademark law. The practice has expanded over the years to incorporate Flavio’s expertise in new technologies and advising innovators throughout the business lifecycle, including licensing, technology transfer, protection of know-how, dispute resolution (including litigation), and unfair competition.
As a result of his long term relationships with his clients, the globalization of technology companies, and his qualifications as a Brazilian lawyer, Flavio’s practice has expanded to advising European companies on their expansion to Brazil and other countries where he manages a network of affiliated offices such as the United States, Colombia, and Peru.
Flavio has been in the blockchain industry since 2014.

Magnus is an experienced international speaker within digital trends and technology, covering many different areas through some of his roles as a board member of the Norwegian Computer Society Group for Artificial Intelligence and Robotics, Norwegian Ambassador of European Legal Technology Association, and a lecturer at EMBA classes at BI Norwegian Business School.

Adrian is the Head of Business Development at Wibson with a demonstrated history of working in the information technology and services industry. Adrian began his career in Digital Marketing and move on to work with Big Data and Artificial Intelligence technologies. He always continued working with new technologies that are transforming the world in which we live.
He is currently part of the Wibson team, a decentralized data marketplace based on blockchain. In 2018 he was part of "Own Your Data World Tour" giving conferences in Spain, Rome, Brussels, Japan, China, Hong Kong and Argentina among others
Nació en la ciudad de Mérida, estado Mérida, el 23 de septiembre de 1986 (32 años). Es Criminólogo egresado de la Universidad de Los Andes en el año 2010.
Desarrolló una amplia experiencia dentro del Poder Judicial venezolano, habiéndose desempeñado en diferentes niveles, desde escribiente, alguacil, archivista y asistente de tribunal, hasta llegar a detentar el cargo de Secretario Judicial del Juzgado Superior Segundo en lo Civil, Mercantil, Tránsito y Protección de Niños, Niñas y Adolescentes de la Circunscripción Judicial del estado Mérida. En el año 2011 pasó a desempeñarse como Coordinador del Consejo Superior Penitenciario y Coordinador de Línea de Investigación de la Comisión Presidencial para el Control de Armas, Municiones y Desarme, dependiente del entonces Viceministerio para el Servicio Penitenciario.
Para el año 2012 ingresó al Ministerio del Poder Popular para Relaciones Interiores, Justicia y Paz, donde ocupó los cargos de asistente y Director General del Despacho del Ministro. Entre los años 2013 y 2016 fungió como Secretario Privado del Gobernador y posteriormente Secretario del Despacho del Gobernador en la Gobernación del estado Aragua. Al servicio del Ejecutivo Regional de Aragua, asumió también la tarea de Director de la Oficina de Atención al Pueblo de Aragua y Coordinador del Puesto de Comando Regional de Aragua.
A escala gremial, el 16 de octubre de 2016 asumió la responsabilidad de presidir la Federación Venezolana de Criminólogos (FEVECRIM), fundada en esa misma fecha, cargo que ocupa en los actuales momentos. Asimismo, ha publicado artículos de investigación en revistas arbitradas nacionales e internacionales, en materia de violencia criminal, administración pública, y seguridad ciudadana en Venezuela; siendo invitado además, a dictar diferentes talleres y conferencias en eventos académicos dentro y fuera de Venezuela. El 16 de enero de 2017 fue designado Director General de la Vicepresidencia de la República, y el 24 de enero de 2018 el Presidente Nicolás Maduro lo designa Presidente de la Fundación Patria, responsabilidad que ocupó hasta el 04 de septiembre de 2018, poniendo en marcha la “Plataforma Tecnológica Patria”, que cuenta con más de 18 millones de usuarios, logrando consolidarse como una de las plataformas más sólidas del país, con un sistema robusto y seguro, permitiéndole adelantar al Ejecutivo Nacional las políticas sociales, relativas al Sistema de Protección
Social del pueblo venezolano. Actualmente, ocupa el cargo de Viceministro de Desarrollo Industrial, adscrito al Ministerio del Poder Popular de Industrias y Producción Nacional y el 21 de junio de 2018 el Presidente de la República, Nicolás Maduro, lo nombró Superintendente Nacional de Criptoactivos y Actividades Conexas de Venezuela, cargo que le ha permitido establecer las bases legales y jurídicas de la actividad Cripto en Venezuela, desarrollar ampliamente el Ecosistema del Petro, e implementar la “Plataforma Petro”, basada en una Blockchain “made in Venezuela”, la cual, a menos de dos meses de su puesta en marcha, ha logrado la captación de más de 120.000 usuarios registrados, además de la promoción y comercialización de la Criptomoneda Nacional El Petro.
Es importante resaltar que ambas plataformas tecnológicas, Patria y Petro, se encuentran interconectadas, a fin de ejecutar el “Plan de Ahorro en Petros”, política de Estado destinada a incentivar el ahorro en las venezolanas y venezolanos. Así mismo, desde la Superintendencia Nacional de Criptoactivos, ha hecho grandes esfuerzos por el acercamiento del gobierno bolivariano con los mineros digitales, promocionando esta actividad, con la realización de dos Encuentros Nacionales de Minería Digital, con más de 500 participantes; y un Encuentro Internacional de Tecnología Blockchain, con la participación de 15 ponentes internacionales y una asistencia superior a las 4.000 personas.
