Originally educated as a computer scientist, Claus has been working in banks for over 25 years. In recent years, he focused on the development of new means of payment and forms of money.
Among other things, designing and implementing a solution to trigger conventional payments through DLTs, he collaborated in the working group of the Deutsche Bundesbank and the Federal Ministry of Finance on programmable money, co-authored the German Banking Industry’s basic paper “Europe needs new money” and the subsequent expansion of this concept into the working paper “Commercial Bank Money Token” (CBMT).
