Sören Hettler has been working in the Research and Economics division at DZ BANK AG since 2012. Prior to that, he was active at the Deutsche Bundesbank for several years. Since 1 July 2022, he has headed the Investment Strategy and Private Clients group at DZ BANK Research, having previously worked as a foreign exchange analyst for about ten years.
From 2017 onwards, he has increasingly been involved with cryptocurrencies as well as the area of central bank digital currencies with a focus on the European Central Bank’s Digital Euro. In the latter context, he has recently contributed to statements by banking associations at the German and European level.
